Ammachi

All beings have a sacred right to life. We pray Lord Shiva in the name of all beings
that You end all fishing, all tree killing, all violence to any flower or bee,
animal or human being, on the planet now and forever. We pray that Amma devotees on the tour
provide free lodging and food for those who cannot afford it, that devotees tell food contributors to bring food without eggs.

WORDS OF AMMA

Perceive God in every living being. Feed them with that attitude.

To wait for either the inner or outer circumstances to be 'just right' before we embark on the
spiritual journey is like standing on the seashore waiting for the waves to completely
subside before we jump onto the ocean. This will never happen. Every moment of life is so utterly precious. Such a rare opportunity. We should not waste it.

Love just happens. Nobody thinks about how to love, or when and where to love. Nobody is
rational about love. Rational thoughts hinder love.

May the tree of our life be firmly rooted in the woil of Love. Let good deeds be the leaves on that
tree. May words of kindness form its flowers. May peace be its fruits. Let us grow and unfold
as one family, united in Love, that we may rejoice and celebrate our oneness in a world where
peace and contentment prevail.

WORDS OF AMMA DEVOTEES TO HER

These hearts, the adored seats upon which you sit, are here. These children
who cry for you day in and day out are here.

LIFE OF AMMA

Amma has hugged 24 million human beings, transmitting divine love to each. Amma hasfed millions, built homes for hundreds of thousands, healed countless numbers.

"When Amma was a child...By the time Amma was two years old she had started to spontaneously pray and offer short songs in praise of the Divine. Children of the village were magnetically attracted to child Amma. She loved to build miniature temples with them out of the muddy sand from the backwaters. She could be found talking very animatedly and lovingly to the trees, flowers, and animals around her. She had a pet green parrot that, if Amma failed to give it attention, would tweak her nose. This always made the other children laugh."

Amma has met simultaneously with Tamil Tigers and their foes.
